Sustainability and ESG

Truly sustainable development is made up of many choices and continuous progress that each of us is called upon to make on a daily basis.

IMC has made change and transformation its mission, and including sustainability in its own dna in a structured way is part of this mission and an expression of the values the people who work here believe in.

We think that our true, sole commitment as a company is to operate responsibly towards our customers, our employees and partners, the territory, the environment.

This is what we have always done with our business and our in-house activities, and today we wish to strengthen and structure it with our Corporate Social Responsibility path.

Our first Materiality Matrix

The matrix of materiality identifies issues that are relevant to an organization and its ability to create economic, environmental, and social value for itself, its stakeholders, and society.

Our first matrix is the result of a completed questionnaire, shared reflections, and ex post analysis of the convergence between IMC Group’s material themes and the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.

It is the guideline for the path of our Group’s CSR activities.

Customer satisfaction

We pursue it through a relentless effort to anticipate and meet Customers’ needs, offering pathways to conversion helping them achieve their business goals, generating sustainable value. Our know-how, supported by enabling and innovative technologies, makes it possible for us to achieve this goal.

Risk management

This is one of our main areas of expertise: it is a complex activity involving processes and people, and every element is important for everything to run. That’s why we get to work by carefully designing processes and technologies. This approach is how we apply our ESG risk management expertise both within the Group and at our Clients.

Business Ethics

We strive to develop an ethical culture within the company, pursue our business purposes driven by our values and principles, and apply and propose to clients effective GRC strategies consistent with the social and environmental background.

Change and sustainable innovation

We foster innovation in processes and technologies with the aim of boosting new business models that respect the principles of sustainability and adopt responsible and fair organizational approaches. The relentless pursuit of innovative solutions characterizes our approach and enables us to keep improving our in-house processes and customer offerings.

Training and youth placement

We believe in skill sharing, engagement and positive interaction among generations; our investments are in training young people entering the business environment, and collaborating with professional institutes to foster youth placement by offering internship and apprenticeship opportunities.

People's well-being and professional growth

We have created workspaces which encourage the psychological and physical well-being of our resources. Our employees are granted full decision-making freedom with respect to their choice of work location and can carry out their tasks from home or at our office. We dedicate moments of professional and personal development to them to boost the confidence and satisfaction of the Team and the people we work with.

Reducing impact on the environment

We are a company with a low environmental impact. Nonetheless, aware of the importance of cooperating to decrease emissions and foster sustainable growth, we undertake responsible consumption practices, working in an eco-friendly facility, strive to prevent and reduce our consumption, and, when possible, recycle the materials we use.

Our STAKEHOLDER MAP

The map identifies stakeholders with respect to IMC Group’s activities.

We have outlined a wide range of stakeholders we are aware of having an impact on, either directly or indirectly, and who represent stakeholders we want to engage and collaborate with.

The stakeholder map is a permanent benchmark for our business and CSR activities.

Our sustainable development goals

The United Nations’ 2030 Agenda, with its 17 goals (SDGs or Goals) has been leading companies and institutions in sustainable development since 2015 to create a more just world and a healthy natural environment. It is a standardized document joined in its entirety, partly because the various goals are interconnected. However, each company can identify issues it can specifically commit and contribute to organically and consistently.

IMC Group, through a convergence analysis among the 17 aims of the Agenda and its own scope of expertise, has identified 5 reference themes that together with the Materiality Matrix outline the path of Corporate Social Responsibility.
